Voting, Elections, Join Our Board
At Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District, our work is driven by you—our local community. Our Board of Supervisors is made up of dedicated volunteers who serve without pay to help protect and steward our local soil and water resources.
This year, we are holding an election for a Supervisor position to serve a three-year term starting January 1, 2027.
Meet the Candidate: Dr. Kyle J. Zieba
We're excited to introduce Kyle Zieba of Westbrook, who is running for election this year!
Kyle grew up right here in Maine (born in Brunswick, raised in Raymond, and a graduate of Westbrook High School). After 26 years of public service with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)—where she worked on clean water enforcement, watershed restoration, and sustainable farming initiatives—Kyle returned home to Maine in 2020.
Now retired from federal service, she brings a wealth of expertise in environmental leadership, corporate sustainability, and community problem-solving to help our local communities thrive. Beyond conservation, Kyle serves on the Board of Directors for GrowSmart Maine and even hosts live pub trivia in the greater Portland area!
