Maine DEP Winter Best Management Practices for Soil Erosion Workshop
This program will explore the options available for performing soil disturbance in the winter as well as highlighting the regulations that contractors need to comply with when performing winter work.
This class qualifies for 4 hours of Continuing Education Credit for individuals Certified in Erosion Control Practices by Maine DEP.

Saco National Night Out
Come find us at the Saco Police Department National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM! We will have a table focused on Saco’s stormwater and the many ways that our actions can positively & negatively impact public waters.

Lake-Friendly Landscaping Workshop
This workshop is free and registration is not required! It will be held as part of the Raymond Waterways Annual Meeting, but is open to the public.
This workshop will help you figure out ways to minimize erosion by storing, slowing down, and absorbing rainwater around your yard!

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Drain cleaners, gasoline, fluorescent bulbs, wood stain, sealants… These are all possible household hazardous waste items that might be sitting in your garage or basement. Dispose of these items (and more) properly at the upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, July 19 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Saco Public Works!
Proof of Biddeford, Old Orchard Beach, Saco, or Scarborough residency is required. Please visit your municipality’s website for details on accepted items!
