Twin Brook Recreation Area is a site included in Think Blue Maine's Pet Waste Survey, a five-year study targeting the impacts of pet waste as a stormwater pollutant. The purpose of this project is to record and analyze the prevalence of dog waste pollution at parks, trails, and beaches in the fourteen Interlocal Stormwater Working Group (ISWG) communities in Cumberland and York Counties to establish a baseline and comply with the 2022 MS4 Stormwater Permit regulations.
