Harrison 6th graders learn about water quality

6th graders at Harrison Elementary School learned about what makes their water healthy and common pollutants! These same students had an even more in-depth understanding of nutrient cycling in water when they borrowed an aquaponics set-up from CCSWCD during the spring semester.

These lessons are funded by the Portland Water District and led by the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District.
