Lake-Friendly Landscaping Workshop
Saturday, July 19, 2025 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Raymond Community Church 27 Main Street, Raymond, ME
This workshop is free and registration is not required! It will be held as part of the Raymond Waterways Annual Meeting, but is open to the public.
This workshop will help you figure out ways to minimize erosion by storing, slowing down, and absorbing rainwater around your yard. The Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District will review common driveway, roof, walkway, septic system, and shoreline issues and ways to resolve them. We’ll also explore landscaping options to address erosion issues, identify native plants that thrive in Maine’s rugged lakes region, and low effort practices that will pay you back for years to come!
Bring pictures, maps, and drawings of your landscaping issues for free technical assistance at the end of the workshop!
For additional information, please visit www.raymondwaterways.org.
