Preventing Poo-llution with our Summer Interns
As summer comes to a close, all of us here at CCSWCD are reminded of the fantastic cohort of interns that we hosted this year! In partnership with the New England Environmental Finance Center, our interns assisted with our regional campaign to reduce stormwater pollution through education, research, and technical assistance.
They spent many of their days in the field conducting surveys of Greater Portland and Saco dog parks, beaches, and trails to better understand the environmental impacts of our furry friends. They also spent time in the community speaking with members of the public at regional events to provide education on the detrimental impacts of pet waste. Hopefully you had a chance to say hello to Thalia, Eli, and Deborah!
