NACD Technical Assistance Grant Update

CCSWCD's awarded NACD Technical Assistance Grant is in its second successful year!

The goal of this project is to increase education, outreach, and technical assistance to small lot landowners to improve natural resource protection and local food production. 

As of July 2025, our technical experts have performed 54 one-on-one technical assistance site visits, providing 34 soil test results and 35 recommendation reports. Additionally, 28 informational exchange workshops and events were held reaching an estimated 1,605 local participants!

This highly successful project will continue through 2025. The District will reapply for additional grant funding to continue efforts. The team was pleased to see a high demand for this service, which has proven to meet the needs of local landowners not traditionally served under federal food production or natural resource conservation programs.
