Purpose:
Identify, document and prioritize soil erosion and phosphorus pollution sites in the Pleasant Lake and Parker Pond Watersheds and to recommend conservation practices that can be installed to fix problems at each of the sites.  The long term goal is reduce watershed pollutant loading to help improve the water quality in Pleasant Lake and Parker Pond.

64 erosion sites identified -
7 high impact sites
36 medium impact sites
21 low impact sites

 

For the site pictured below:
Problem: Erosion due to lack of crown & poor surface material
Recommendation: Add new material, crown driveway, install runoff diverters

The open top culvert, below, is a runoff diverter that could be installed on the driveway, pictured to the left, to help control runoff.
