Southern Maine Children's Water Festival
This one-day event occurs annually each May, drawing about 800 4th, 5th, & 6th grade students from all over Southern Maine to learn all about water. 

The 2008 Festival was held on Friday, May 16 at the Portland Campus of the University of Southern Maine.  Students from twelve southern Maine schools attended classroom presentations, a stage show performed by singer/songwriter Matt Loosigian, "Dripial Pursuit" competitions, and toured many exhibits in the exhibit hall.

The annual Droplets publication is sent to all Festival attendees prior to the event.  Droplets provides an overview of the Festival, as well as some activities and articles to prepare students for the day.  Click on the image below to view the 2008 edition.
